Satire at its best !
Really glad that I made some one feel special :) :) :)
Just follow Blog-a-ton and you will become a Blog-a-Tonic. And you can do anything you want. Cartoons will be innovative and way eloquent. Post your name and the URL of your post in the comments section of the latest post there [check the post, the rules are there]. And I think you should send Vipul an email telling him that you want to participate. Okay?
G.
actually.. i couldnt understand some of the drawings.. drawn hastily?? but got the message.. as nan put it.. satire at its best.. its true that we dont think abt our country at all..
It was quite not understandable!! but I dare say that you are the only cartoonist blog-a-tonic. So you are unique.. You deserve a good round of applause from all of us. What do you say, people??
Honestly I'm impressed bur perplexed as well.. Couldn't understand some parts.. ignorance is bliss :)
I draw like stupid..so i know it must be super tough to draw cartoons....wow man..give some topic to INDiANS and they come up with ,fiction,poetry,essay,satire,cartoon..and what not..how talented can we get ? :) :D
well the first one is good...
can you not enlarge them here istelf..?
all the best,..
cartoon explanation:
1.People rarely dream of their country.I have shown what occupies the dream of men as they go through stages of life and at last, when yama asks him,'why he didnt dreamt of country'...he is shocked that he belonged to India while he lived.
2.Gandhi dreamt of hindu-muslim unity, farmer well being and power of truth.this is AN INDIAN DREAM.
But when he looks down after his death(from currency where he lives still),he is shocked(eyeballs jumping out) to see that whole India doesn't follow his dreams but everyone dreams of currency(loads of dream clouds). Many climb over others dreams and get to touch their dreams. Some cloud dreams merge and immolates many by lightning.People stamp others and pull others legs for achieveing their dream of earning money. That is the INDIAN DREAM.
I think I have not expressed what I meant to express rightly.:((
Hey Srivatsan, first of all congrats 2 u for adding a new dimension 2 this event with ur cartoons.
Having said tht, evn i'll hav 2 say tht i wish u hd made the images and the text within thm a bit more clear.
However aftr reading ur reply here, I am happy 2 read ur thoughts.
After reading your explanation i think i got the first one 'a little' wrong.
But i must say nice approach .. gud satire.
I got a near perfect meaning of your pics but got them all well after reading your explanation...
creative indeed...
@vipul
It was like rough draft, what i had drawn. I came to know of blog-a-ton by 7pm yesterday and the topic was stimulating.I thought of writing, but it needs more time.So I thought what if I draw cartoons to describe the indian dream which would have lengthened to pages if I had written. But I failed to convey the message properly.Anyway,Waiting for next blog-a-ton!:)
well done bro!..Gandhi's Hindu muslim dream...yeah i get it!!
I had some difficulty reading as I know, you did the cartoons hastily. But I got them both (second one was easier to understand) without reading your explanations.
I don't think you failed taking everything into account.
It was an interesting thought process and as usual your cartoons, damn, they are good! :D
rendavathu nala iruku ...free
Hey srivatsan!
Again am telling, i never knew you can draw and become a cartoonist one day!! Great going!
When i first saw the pictures, i couldn't decipher anything! But after reading your explanation, I said 'Wow'
Like vipul told, its an innovative method in blog-a-ton!!
Good going!!
All the best!
nice and unique
good one
I love cartoons -writing and reading.. I dint quite understand the first one.. actually the lettering were small.. the second one was toooo good.. people dreaming about 1000 Rs note :)) so true.. people have become so much money minded these days :(
The first one poses a million dollar question: Why don't we dream of our country!
may be there will be a day when Individual Dreams and Nation's Dream merges!
You have said a lot through your cartoons.. I liked it very much.. though understanding them initially was bit difficult.
Your explanations cleared it all :)
I understood the first one very clearely withiut reading the explanation but for the other one explanation helped a bit.I thought it is about the curruption. Giving money and all..Nice post very different and refreshing!
a very different presentation really liked it.. can sense the originality of the post
