Just follow Blog-a-ton and you will become a Blog-a-Tonic. And you can do anything you want. Cartoons will be innovative and way eloquent. Post your name and the URL of your post in the comments section of the latest post there [check the post, the rules are there]. And I think you should send Vipul an email telling him that you want to participate. Okay?

It was quite not understandable!! but I dare say that you are the only cartoonist blog-a-tonic. So you are unique.. You deserve a good round of applause from all of us. What do you say, people??

cartoon explanation:
1.People rarely dream of their country.I have shown what occupies the dream of men as they go through stages of life and at last,when yama asks him,'why he didnt dreamt of country'...he is shocked that he belonged to India while he lived.

2.Gandhi dreamt of hindu-muslim unity,farmer well being and power of truth.this is AN INDIAN DREAM.

But when he looks down after his death(from currency where he lives still),he is shocked(eyeballs jumping out) to see that whole India doesn't follow his dreams but everyone dreams of currency(loads of dream clouds).Many climb over others dreams and get to touch their dreams.Some cloud dreams merge and immolates many by lightning.People stamp others and pull others legs for achieveing their dream of earning money.That is the INDIAN DREAM.

I think I have not expressed what I meant to express rightly.:((

@vipul
It was like rough draft,what i had drawn. I came to know of blog-a-ton by 7pm yesterday and the topic was stimulating.I thought of writing,but it needs more time.So I thought what if I draw cartoons to describe the indian dream which would have lengthened to pages if I had written.But I failed to convey the message properly.Anyway,Waiting for next blog-a-ton!:)

I had some difficulty reading as I know, you did the cartoons hastily. But I got them both (second one was easier to understand) without reading your explanations.
I don't think you failed taking everything into account.
It was an interesting thought process and as usual your cartoons, damn, they are good! :D

I love cartoons -writing and reading.. I dint quite understand the first one.. actually the lettering were small.. the second one was toooo good.. people dreaming about 1000 Rs note :)) so true.. people have become so much money minded these days :(

Sojo Varughese said...

The first one poses a million dollar question: Why don't we dream of our country!

may be there will be a day when Individual Dreams and Nation's Dream merges!
